Don’t Spare Change

Let there be no doubt, change brings with it both foreseeable and hidden challenges. When that change is related to communication behaviors, I openly declare the hidden will far outweigh the foreseeable.  However, these hidden challenges may just be the very things we need to advance ourselves personally, professionally, or otherwise.

Patterns, routines, and predictability are amongst the many keys to a happy life.  At the same time, these same points can become barriers to forging new ground, to establishing new patters, routines, and predictable outcomes, that can very well increase the overall quality of our lives.  The lure and security of actions past are difficult to ignore, but they can very well deny us the opportunity to discover what else may be out there.

I write this because I have lived with and experienced numerous changes in both my personal and professional life.  I have lived through the heightened emotions these changes evoked, both positive and negative.  One thing I can say for certain, for each change I experience I absolutely came out for the better.  I may not have felt that at the time, but upon reflection and evaluation, it’s clear as polished glass that change is not only necessary, but something one should take good care to embrace as well.

So, don’t spare change, don’t spare change at, for everyone’s sake, and most importantly, for yours.
