Discover how time honored techniques can be applied in today’s attention-competitive world to ensure people cannot help but pay attention to you. Dipping into the 2,300 year-old insights discovered by Aristotle, you will come to recognize how each and every interaction builds or diminishes TRUST, generates positive or negative EMOTIONS, and comes across as being REASONABLE or not. With these insights in mind, you learn how to expand your current communication practices and keep people attuned to what you have to say, whether that’s face-to-face, electronically, or otherwise.

OH, THE STORIES WE TELL: WELCOME TO THE HOLLYWOOD OF OUR MIND

As human beings, we are fantastic spinners of tales. The stories we tell are what ultimately shape our experiences, our relationships, and our lives. The reason we spend so much time telling stories is because the human communication process is inherently an incomplete one. We are dependent on our ability to correctly and accurately interpret one anothers intentions, for better…or for worse. It is within this interpretive space that our storytelling begins. Recognizing the impact our storytelling has on how we perceive others, and perhaps more importantly, how others’ perceive us, enables us to increase our influence on the stories people tell about us. This allows deeper and more meaningful connections to occur.

EXTRACT, EXTRACT, EXTRACT! THERE'S VALUE IN THOSE INTERACTIONS!

Within every organization, there are certain interactions, both internal and external, that have a greater impact on how that organization is perceived. We call these Key Organizational Interactions, or KOIs. In these interactions or KOIs, there is a hidden value just waiting to be extracted. That value can be loyalty, commitment, enthusiasm, or innovation. By approaching these interactions strategically, whether with fellow employees, customers, clients, or guests, chances are we’ll successfully extract that hidden value to a point where everyone benefits. In this novel keynote, participants will learn to understand and locate these KOIs and develop the communication tools to begin the value extraction process.
